    Handwritten and signed letter dated April 15, 1812 from John Randolph of Roanoke to Benjamin Watkins Leigh, at the time Randolph was a U.S. Congressman from Virginia and Leigh a member of the Virginia House of Delegates, both would later become U.S. Senators. Great political content from early America, reads in part, "I am glad that my intelligence has been the means of saving any of our people from the [?] of their own government..." Several folds, wax seal remnants, less than usual handling for its age, minor fold separation.
